The Legend of Tir na nÓg
Tir na nÓg Caife got its name from an old Irish tale, the tale of the “Land of Everlasting Youth and Happiness”, the Land of “Tír na nÓg”.
According to Irish mythology, Tir na nÓg was a place the place of eternal beauty and youth, where sickness and death did not exist…
A place where music, strength, life, and all pleasurable pursuits came together in a single place…
It was a place where happiness lasted forever and no one wanted for food or drink.
The legends say that “Tír na nÓg” could only be reached by either an arduous voyage or by an invitation from one of its fairy residents.
We didn’t want our customers to embark on an arduous voyage to reach us, we have therefore employed a resident fairy who readily dishes out Tir na nÓg invitations, 7 days a week.
About Tir na nÓg – our theme song
The song “Tir na nÓg” was written in 1969 by an Irish duo known by the same name – “Tir na nÓg”. You can find the lyrics to this beautiful song and the link to their website on our Blog.
